The Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus is a client PC NVMe SSD with 3-bit MLC V-NAND. OWC have something called 'ENVOY' - Are there any other options? What is needed is a USB > to nvme (M.2)_enclosure that 100% works without any conditions. This is about asking about a real Mac (I'll have another go at Hackintosh later)_late 2013 Mac Pro - & - The Samsung 970 Evo Plus - I got a 500 GB drive which does work if you are using High Sierra or higher and the new APFS file system for partitioning - So with this drive I didn't have many problems with the 'adapter' to fit it to the MP 2013.Īlso I got a 1 TB (same drive)_that I'm convinced does not have the correct firmware on as I've tried without success so there is a difference compared to the 500 GB drive that did work.
